Early goals doom North Middlesex, falls to Lambeth, 7-0

The Lambeth Lancers jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the North Middlesex Stars, 7-0.

Logan Ferrington spearheaded the defensive effort for Lambeth, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 25 saves for the shutout. Ferrington managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.5 prior to the game.

The Lancers got the win thanks to a great game by Warren Hargraves, who had one goal and three assists. Hargraves scored on the power play 4:52 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lambeth. Lambeth had taken the advantage when North Middlesex's Josh Bilodeau got sent off for interference. Ryan Pennington provided the assist.

The Lancers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven North Middlesex power plays. The Stars were unable to stop Lambeth from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lancers eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Lambeth additionally got points from Justin Clark, who also racked up one goal and four assists to lead the team in points. Lambeth also had goals scored by Tanner Smith, who had two and Keith Arnold, Brett Cook, and Cody Wuytenburg, who each put in one. More assists for Lambeth came via Austin Blais, Kale Corbeth, and Riley Gilmore, who each chipped in one.

Lambeth incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Dane Gubbels made 30 saves for North Middlesex on 37 shots. The Stars incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
