Tyson Corkum had two goals and two assists to lead the Port Stanley Sailors to a 5-1 victory over the Aylmer Spitfires. Corkum found the back of the net 13:04 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Port Stanley and again while 16:53 into the first to make the score 3-1 Port Stanley.Port Stanley's offense rang up 44 shots on Aylmer's net. Port Stanley also got points from Anders Adzija, who also finished with two goals and one assist. David Vergeer also scored for Port Stanley. Other players who recorded assists for Port Stanley were Dalton Good, Zachary Zinga, Ryan McDonnell, Mark Brisson, and Trevor Smith, who contributed one a piece. The Spitfires put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Sailors to score on any of their four power plays. Aylmer did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Spitfires put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game. Port Stanley ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Zak Jukna was ejected from the game. Dan Black rejected 39 shots on goal for the Spitfires. Aylmer incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
