Tavistock downs Burford, 6-1

Angus Rowland AP racked up one point to lead the Tavistock Braves to a 6-1 victory over the Burford Bulldogs.

Tavistock put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Burford to score on any of its four power plays. The Braves kept the Bulldogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nick Trask made 26 saves on 32 shots. Tavistock's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Braves average 2.8 goals per contest.

Tavistock also got points from Jordan Ritsma, who also had two goals and one assist and Dylan Yantzi, who also finished with two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Jarrod Yantzi also scored for Tavistock. In addition, Tavistock received assists from Tyson Zehr AP, who had two and Matthew Lupton, Nick Quehl, New Player, and Tristan Hohl, who contributed one a piece.

Burford did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Bulldogs average 3.2 goals per game.

Burford was led by Jesse Brooks, who scored the team's only goal. Brooks scored 4:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Burford. Ryan Gagne picked up the assist.

Trevor Bloch rejected 21 shots on goal for Tavistock. The Braves incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Tavistock, Sean Leslie was ejected from the game. The Bulldogs incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
