The Burford Bulldogs' Kyle Chaney scored 25 seconds into overtime to beat the Norwich Merchants, 5-4 (OT).

Chris Grand had two goals to lead Burford to victory. Grand scored at 4:39 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Burford and again while 15:45 into the third to make the score 4-4.

The Bulldogs' penalty kill excelled, as Burford gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

The Bulldogs stifled Norwich's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Burford's offense rang up 33 shots on the Merchants' net.

Burford also got a goal from Tyler Vandenbussche as well. Other players who recorded assists for Burford were Peter Janeck, who had two and Pat Bates, Tommy Smith, and Adam Harris, who each chipped in one.

Norwich was led by Troy Lamoure, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Lamoure scored 12:15 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Brandon Zimmermann picked up the assist. Norwich also had goals scored by Mitchell Berzins, Ryan Stephenson, and Drake Morrell, who scored one goal each. In addition, Norwich received assists from Kurtis Lavis, Derek Slaght, and Zach Couwenberg, who contributed one a piece.

Riley Edwards rejected 19 shots on goal for the Bulldogs. Burford incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Zac Easveld recorded 28 saves for the Merchants. Norwich incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
