Chalmers nets hat trick, leads Paris to 6-0 win over Delhi

Clayton Chalmers netted a hat trick to lead the Paris Mounties over the Delhi Travellers, 6-0.

Chalmers' first goal came 9:53 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:22 into the first and at 14:50 into the third.

Paris led 4-0 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

The Mounties' penalty kill excelled, as Paris gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.

The Mounties made Delhi's netminders to work in net, finishing with 38 shots and forcing 32 saves. Nick Heath made nine stops and Jordan Ironside made 23. Paris stifled the Travellers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Paris additionally got points from Graham Kitching, who also had one goal and two assists and Ian Fowler, who also grabbed one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Hayden Cox also scored for Paris. Other players who recorded assists for Paris were Zack Skubnik, Matthew Small, and Chad Herrington, who contributed one a piece and Jacob Norcott and Zach Taylor, who each chipped in two.

The Mounties' Andrew Masters stopped 23 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Paris incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Delhi incurred 42 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Travellers, Kyle Eggleston was ejected from the game.
