Poulsen lifts Topeka over Amarillo, 3-1

The Topeka RoadRunners relied on the scoring touch of Tyler Poulsen, who netted two goals, to beat the Amarillo Bulls, 3-1.Poulsen scored on the power play at 9:21 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Topeka and again while 19:23 into the third to make the score 3-1 Topeka.
Topeka was led by goalie PJ Bridges, who finished with 25 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Bridges will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.53.
The RoadRunners' penalty kill excelled, as Topeka gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.
The RoadRunners stifled Amarillo's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Topeka put 29 shots on net during the contest, more than the 26.2 it averages per game.
The Bulls did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Amarillo averages 3.4 goals per game.
