The Aberdeen Wings' Jake Horton scored 4:20 into overtime to beat the Brookings Blizzard, 5-4 (OT).

Aberdeen's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Brookings power plays. The Wings put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 22.9 they average per game. Aberdeen found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Wings average 2.9 goals per contest.

Aberdeen was led by Kyle Haak, who tallied two goals. Haak scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 2:24 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Wings had gotten the advantage when Brookings' Conrad Sampair was sent off for tripping. Erik Baskin assisted on the tally. Haak's next tally on the power play made the score 4-4 with 13 seconds left in the third period. Tanner Okeson picked up the assist. Aberdeen additionally got points from Zach Doerring, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Austin Swingle also scored for Aberdeen.
