MN Magicians falls to Minot in overtime, 4-3 (OT)Richfield Fri, Nov 22, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Minot Minotauros pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the MN Magicians Magicians on a clutch goal by Tony Uglem. Minot overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Minotauros fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by MN Magicians' Matt Colford at 9:56 in the first period. Minot tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Colton Kramer at 1:29 in the fourth period. With 39 shots on target during the contest, the Minotauros exceeded the 19.9 shots they average per game this year. Jake Johnson also scored for Minot. In addition, Minot received assists from Jon Lizotte, Jake McCann, Michael Bigelbach, Tyler Shipstad, Alexander Kasitsyn, Scott Dornbrock, and Tanner Holmquist, who contributed one a piece. The Magicians were led by Cody Milligan, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Milligan scored 7:44 into the third period to make the score 3-2 MN Magicians. Mario Bianchi assisted on the tally. MN Magicians also got points from Bianchi, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for MN Magicians came via Nicholas Kuchera and Jordan Stejskal, who each chipped in one. Brandon Wildung recorded 26 saves for Minot. The Minotauros totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. MN Magicians' Bryan Nies stopped 35 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Magicians totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. |
