Kaskisuo stymies Aberdeen, MN Wilderness wins 2-1

Kasimir Kaskisuo had a standout game with 26 saves, and the MN Wilderness Wilderness beat the Aberdeen Wings 2-1.

MN Wilderness was sparked by Jakob Romo, who racked up one goal. Romo scored 40 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 MN Wilderness.

The Wilderness put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Aberdeen to score on any of its four power plays. MN Wilderness' offense was clicking better than usual and put 37 shots on goal during the game, better than the 30.9 shots per game it averages.

John May also scored for MN Wilderness. More assists for MN Wilderness came via Dominik Tiffels, who had one.

The Wings were led by Austin Swingle, who scored the team's only goal. Swingle scored 2:37 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Aberdeen. Lennart Palausch picked up the assist.

The Wilderness incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Chad Catt made 35 saves for Aberdeen on 37 shots. The Wings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
