Kelley stymies Wenatchee, Michigan wins 5-1Town Toyota Center Sat, Nov 09, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Dillion Kelley stood on his head and made 25 saves to lead the Michigan Warriors to a 5-1 victory over the Wenatchee Wild. Michigan was led by Alec Pellegrino, who had one goal and one assist. Pellegrino scored 4:35 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Michigan. Zack Szajner picked up the assist. The Warriors stifled Wenatchee's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Michigan struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 36 penalty minutes for four opposing power plays. Michigan also got points from TJ Stuntz, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Colin Larkin, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Connor Lyons also scored for Michigan. In addition, Michigan received assists from Jake Faiella, John Nugent, Nick Govig, and Jake Hopfner, who each chipped in one. The Wild found themselves short handed often, totaling 26 penalty minutes and allowing four power plays. Wenatchee was led by Nick Anderson, who scored the team's only goal. Anderson scored 15:38 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Michigan. Christian Salvato provided the assist. The Wild's starting goalie, Gustaf Johansson, made 13 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Chase Perry, who stopped 11 shots.
