Johnstown downs Port Huron in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Johnstown Tomahawks' Shane Bednard scored 1:06 into overtime to beat the Port Huron Fighting Falcons, 4-3 (OT).

Johnstown came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Tomahawks fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by Port Huron's Logan Lambdin at 14 seconds in the second period. Johnstown knotted things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Bednard at 6:14 in the third period.

The Tomahawks got the win thanks to a great game by Bednard, who had two goals and one assist.

With 45 shots on target during the contest, Johnstown exceeded the 23.7 shots it averages per game this year.

Johnstown additionally got points from Omar Mullan, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Johnstown also got a goal from Brandon Reinholz as well. More assists for Johnstown came via Josh Bowes, who had one.

The Fighting Falcons average 23.5 shots on goal per game, but only sent 18 pucks on net against the Tomahawks.

Noah Batis also scored for Port Huron. In addition, Port Huron received assists from Max Milosek, Nick Le Sage, Jonathan Kopacka, Austin Romzek, and Joey Lindberg, who contributed one a piece.

Johnstown's Jake Moore stopped 15 shots out of the 18 that he faced. The Tomahawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Max Milosek made 41 saves for Port Huron on 45 shots. The Fighting Falcons incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
