Lindstrom's goals lift MN Wilderness to 3-1 victory over Janesville

Behind a great game by Thomas Lindstrom, who had two goals, the MN Wilderness Wilderness defeated the Janesville Jets, 3-1.

Lindstrom scored at 10:27 into the second period to make the score 2-1 MN Wilderness and again while 18:05 into the second to make the score 3-1 MN Wilderness.

Janesville was stymied by MN Wilderness netminder Kasimir Kaskisuo, who stopped 26 shots during the victory. Kaskisuo managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.15 prior to the game.

The Wilderness excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. MN Wilderness' offense was clicking better than usual and put 38 shots on goal during the game, better than the 27.7 shots per game it averages.

MN Wilderness also got a goal from Billy Exell as well. More assists for MN Wilderness came via Lance Carney, John May, Michael Covach, and Nolan Culver, who contributed one a piece.

The Jets' offense operated below they season average. Janesville puts an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game.

The Jets were led by Drew Callin, who scored the team's only goal. Callin scored 3:42 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Michael Louria assisted on the tally.

The Wilderness totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. Janesville's Brock Kautz stopped 35 shots out of the 38 that he faced. The Jets ended with seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major.
