Wenatchee falls to Soo in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Denver Pierce gave the Soo Eagles a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Wenatchee Wild when he scored 4:10 into the extra period.

Soo pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

The Eagles were led by Pierce, who registered one goal.

Soo's offense was clicking better than usual and put 29 shots on goal during the game, better than the 25.8 shots per game it averages.

Jacob McDowell also scored for Soo. In addition, Soo received assists from Kristofers Bindulis, who had two and Bradley Mueller, AJ Jarosz, Mike Sabatini, and Kyle Loridon, who each chipped in one.

Wenatchee forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The Wild had been averaging 17.0 minutes in penalties per game.

Wenatchee was helped by River Rymsha, who finished with one goal. Rymsha scored 5:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wenatchee. Andre Pison picked up the assist. Wenatchee also got a goal from Parker Tuomie as well. More assists for Wenatchee came via Gadel Gumerov, Troy Loggins, and Trey Bradley, who contributed one a piece.

Skoog Paige rejected 26 shots on goal for the Eagles. Soo registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. Mackenzie Sawyer recorded 26 saves for the Wild. Wenatchee registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. For the Wild, Christian Salvato was ejected from the game.
