Aberdeen beats Minot 3-0 as Catt gains shutout

Chad Catt made 30 saves to complete the shutout and led the Aberdeen Wings to a 3-0 win against the Minot Minotauros.

Jordan Heller had a great game for Aberdeen, netting two goals. Heller's tallies came at 4:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aberdeen and 19:26 into the third to make the score 3-0 Aberdeen.

The Wings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. By firing 29 shots on goal, Aberdeen exceeded the 24.7 shots it averages per game this year.

Aberdeen additionally got points from Kyle Haak, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Aberdeen received assists from TJ Roo, Colin O Neill, and Jonathan Grebosky, who contributed one a piece.

With 30 shots on target during the contest, Minot exceeded the 23.3 shots it averages per game this year.

The Minotauros were led by Jon Lizotte, who took five shots.

The Wings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Brandon Wildung recorded 26 saves for Minot. The Minotauros incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
