MN Magicians survives MN Wilderness comeback, wins 3-2

The MN Magicians Magicians survived a determined comeback attempt by the MN Wilderness Wilderness on the way to a 3-2 win.

MN Magicians made the score 3-1 on a goal by Tony Uglem at 10:05 in the third period, and MN Wilderness got as close as 3-2 when Brett Heikkila scored 11:05 into the third period.

The Magicians were paced by Uglem, who had one goal.

MN Magicians put 36 shots on net during the contest, more than the 27.4 it averages per game.

MN Magicians additionally got points from Eetu Karvinen, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. MN Magicians also got a goal from Kyle Krueger as well. In addition, MN Magicians received assists from Logan Vonruden, Denis Shevyrin, Colin Hernon, and Cody Milligan, who contributed one a piece.

The Wilderness' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three MN Magicians power plays. The Magicians were unable to stop MN Wilderness from sending pucks towards the net, and the Wilderness eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

MN Wilderness was helped by Brent Bockman, who registered one goal. Bockman scored 3:03 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jack Brandstetter picked up the assist. More assists for MN Wilderness came via Terry Leibo, Billy Exell, and Dominik Tiffels, who each chipped in one.

Atte Tolvanen rejected 31 shots on goal for MN Magicians. The Magicians incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Frank Oplinger made 33 saves for the Wilderness on 36 shots. MN Wilderness incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
