Fairbanks downs Coulee Region, 3-1

David Kaplan had one point to lead the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to a 3-1 victory over the Coulee Region Chill.
Fairbanks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Ice Dogs put 36 shots on net during the contest, more than the 32.2 they average per game.
Coulee Region stifled Fairbanks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
The Chill were led by Jesse Tredinnick, who scored the team's only goal. Tredinnick scored short handed 6:50 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Coulee Region. Coulee Region was on a disadvantage when John Regnart went off the ice for hooking. Sean Kalbak assisted on the tally.
