MN Wilderness shrugs off penalties, upends MN Magicians, 4-0

The MN Magicians Magicians failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the MN Wilderness Wilderness shook off a number of penalties to win, 4-0.

MN Wilderness was led by John May, who registered one goal. May scored 7:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 MN Wilderness. Darian Romanko provided the assist.

The Wilderness excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. MN Wilderness' offense was helped by the efforts of its defensemen, who managed to put 17 shots on net during the game. With 42 shots on target during the contest, the Wilderness exceeded the 32.3 shots they average per game this year.

MN Wilderness also got points from Jaycob McCombs, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Terry Leibo also scored for MN Wilderness. More assists for MN Wilderness came via Tyler Hart, Jakob Romo, Billy Exell, Thomas Lindstrom, Brent Bockman, and Brett Bukowski, who each chipped in one.

MN Magicians was below its usual level of shot production, taking 19 shots compared to the 26.1 the Magicians average. MN Magicians' offense operated below it season average. The Magicians average 2.3 goals per game.

MN Magicians was led by Tony Uglem, who took three shots.

Kasimir Kaskisuo recorded 19 saves for MN Wilderness. The Wilderness incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Bryan Nies rejected 38 shots on goal for the Magicians. MN Magicians incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
