San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U vanquishes Pikes Peak Miners 18U in shootout, 3-2

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U defeated Pikes Peak Miners 18U in a shootout 3-2.

The shootout lasted for nine attempts between the teams. Pikes Peak Miners 18U got a shootout goal from Tyler Hanson. San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U also got shootout goals from Robert Trujillo and Eric Folgmann.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U trailed 2-1 after a goal by Pikes Peak Miners 18U's David Dziezawiec at 8:08 in the third period.
