Omaha AAA 18U rips Detroit Falcons 18U, 9-0

Omaha AAA 18U had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-0 win over Detroit Falcons 18U.

Nathan Medeiros had two goals to lead Omaha AAA 18U to victory. Medeiros' tallies came on the power play at 3:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Omaha AAA 18U and on the power play 1:52 into the third to make the score 5-0 Omaha AAA 18U.

Omaha AAA 18U made Detroit Falcons 18U's goalies to work all game long, ripping 40 shots and forcing 31 saves. Ryan Running made 19 stops and Corbin Kaczperski made 12. Omaha AAA 18U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Detroit Falcons 18U power plays. Omaha AAA 18U bested its season scoring average. Omaha AAA 18U has scored at the pace of 5.3 goals per game during the current campaign. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with four goals.

Omaha AAA 18U additionally got points from Tyler Doyle, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Mason Kreuger, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Ryan Cagnoni, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Omaha AAA 18U also got a goal from Ryan Fretwell as well. More assists for Omaha AAA 18U came via Tycho Falk, who had three and Ben Dewhurst and Mark Whitney, who each chipped in one.
