Andrew Scofield was all over the ice for the Peoria Mustangs, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Peoria's 7-4 win over the Cincinnati Swords.

Scofield scored on the power play at 1:35 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Peoria and again while on the power play 19:06 into the third to make the score 7-4 Peoria.

In the losing effort, Cincinnati was led by Aaron Storch, who tallied two goals. Storch scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:16 into the second period to make the score 1-1. A tripping penalty on Brennan Anderson had put the Swords on the power play. Kurt Halbach picked up the assist. Storch's next tally on the power play made the score 5-3 Peoria with 8:20 left in the third period. Cincinnati had gained a power play chance when Austin Ziakas was whistled for interference. Halbach provided the assist.

The Swords were unable to stop the Mustangs from sending pucks towards the net, and Peoria eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. The Mustangs outdid their season average for goals scored. Peoria averages 4.7 goals per game.

Peoria additionally got points from Sam Turner, who also had one goal and one assist and Anderson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Peoria also had goals scored by Levi Armstrong, Marshall Gevers, and Austin Wisely, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Brendan Murphy, who had two and Nathan Chasteen, Blake Ortman, Clayton Layne, and Joshua Hart, who each chipped in one.

Cincinnati forced the Mustangs goalie Jarin Aden to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Cincinnati also got points from Halbach, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Cincinnati also got a goal from RJ Marshall as well. In addition, Cincinnati received assists from Devin Fracassi, who had two and Henry Smith, Thomas Clayton, and Emil Sundstrom, who contributed one a piece.

Peoria's Aden stopped 37 shots out of the 41 that he faced. The Mustangs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Alec Rounds rejected 33 shots on goal for the Swords. Cincinnati incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
