The Toledo Cherokee had trouble finding ways to stop the yFlint Junior Generals, which beat Cherokee, 5-1.

yFlint was led by Conor Durgan, who grabbed one goal. Durgan scored 11:26 into the second period to make the score 2-0 yFlint. Trevor Benaglio provided the assist.

The Junior Generals forced Toledo goalie Aaron Callan to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

yFlint additionally got points from Luke Dmytro, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. yFlint also got a goal from Andrew Bellant as well. In addition, yFlint received assists from Austin Fletcher, Cody Wright, and Brett Leppek, who each chipped in one.

The Cherokee put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow yFlint to score on any of its four power plays.

Toledo was led by Tyler Zalecki, who scored the team's only goal. Zalecki scored 10:29 into the third period to make the score 3-1 yFlint. Donnie Nagle assisted on the tally.

The Junior Generals' Andrew Wagner stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. yFlint incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. Aaron Callan made 36 saves for the Cherokee on 41 shots. Toledo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
