Cincinnati downs Cleveland in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Cincinnati Swords' Thomas Clayton scored 10:20 into overtime to beat the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks, 3-2 (OT).

Andrew Bond had two goals to lead Cincinnati to victory. Bond scored on the power play at 9:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cincinnati and again while 1:48 into the fourth to make the score 4-2 Cincinnati.

The Swords put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cleveland to score on any of its four power plays. Cincinnati's offense rang up 33 shots on the Jr. Lumberjacks' net.

Cincinnati additionally got points from Nikita Korotkov, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Clayton, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Cincinnati received assists from Emil Sundstrom, who had one.

Cleveland was helped by Matt Wipper, who registered one goal. Wipper scored 19:10 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cincinnati. Cleveland also got a goal from Tyler Dalton as well.

The Swords' Alec Rounds stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Cincinnati incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Joseph Moza rejected 30 shots on goal for the Jr. Lumberjacks. Cleveland incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
