The Sugar Land Imperials tried their best to erase a four-goal deficit, but the Dallas Jr. Stars would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 6-5.

Dallas made the score 5-1 on a goal by Colin South at 6:15 in the second period, and Sugar Land got as close as 5-4 when Wayne Hubley scored 10:53 into the third period.

Tommy Stock was all over the ice for the Jr. Stars, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Stock scored the first of his two goals short handed at 10:21 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Dallas found itself down a man on Jon Gibson's head contact. Cam Choate picked up the assist. Stock's next tally short handed made the score 6-4 Dallas with 6:47 left in the third period. The Jr. Stars had gotten the advantage when the Imperials' Benjamin Wilkins was sent off for slashing. Brandon Salisbury assisted on the tally.

Dallas forced Sugar Land's netminders to work all game long, taking 36 shots and forcing 30 saves. Colton Anderson made 18 stops and Matt Douglas made 12. The Jr. Stars outdid their season average for goals scored. Dallas has scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign. The Jr. Stars cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances.

Dallas also got points from Choate, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Salisbury, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Dallas also got a goal from Rutger Kesling as well. In addition, Dallas received assists from Alex MacInnis, who had one and Raurie Petrich and Jared Renfro, who each chipped in two.

The Imperials forced Dallas goalie Chris Mallon to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Sugar Land additionally got points from Cole Sharrah, who also registered one goal and one assist. Yves Bader also scored for Sugar Land. More assists for Sugar Land came via Travis Wilson, who had two and Matthew Davies and Aksel Campbell, who contributed one a piece.

The Jr. Stars' Mallon stopped 29 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Dallas incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Sugar Land incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
