Hindle stymies Peoria, St. Louis wins 2-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Billy Hindle helped the St. Louis Jr. Blues defeat the Peoria Mustangs, 2-1.

St. Louis was led by Andrew Kovacich, who had one goal. Kovacich scored 13:53 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Louis. Mike Lozano picked up the assist.

The Jr. Blues stifled Peoria's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

St. Louis additionally got points from Lozano, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for St. Louis were Adam Roeder, who had one.

The Mustangs could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Peoria averages 5.1 goals per game.

The Mustangs were led by Chance Homerin, who scored the team's only goal. Homerin scored 14:34 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Louis. Joshua Hart provided the assist.

Hindle rejected 28 shots on goal for St. Louis. The Jr. Blues incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Peoria's Chance Kremer stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Mustangs totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play. For Peoria, Brennan Anderson was ejected from the game.
