The Granite City Lumberjacks' Christian Mohs had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 8-1 win over the Metro Jets. Mohs scored at 7:45 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Granite City and again while 15:31 into the third to make the score 8-1 Granite City.Metro fell victim to a deadly Granite City power play, which ripped the Jets for five goals. Metro was unable to stop the Lumberjacks from sending pucks towards the net, and Granite City eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. The Lumberjacks outdid their season average for goals scored. Granite City averages 5.5 goals per game. Granite City additionally got points from Aidan Verbeke, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Drew Otto, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Zac Sikich, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Granite City also had goals scored by Zach Voss, Luc Richardson, and Gavin Porter, who each put in one. The Jets incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
