Dallas found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against :Texas Tornado's defense.

The Jr. Stars were helped by Jake Furnow, who finished with one goal. Furnow scored on the power play 3:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dallas. Raurie Petrich assisted on the tally. Dallas also got points from Petrich, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Dallas were Tyler Scott, who had one.

:Texas Tornado's Alex Gross stopped 12 shots out of the 14 that he faced. :Texas Tornado registered one goal on eight power play opportunities. Steffan Muller recorded 26 saves for Dallas. The Jr. Stars incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
