Horgas' goals lift Cleveland to 6-3 victory over WisconsinHartmeyer Arena Fri, Nov 01, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Stefan Horgas was all over the ice for the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks, as he tallied two goals in Cleveland's 6-3 win over the Wisconsin Whalers. Horgas found the back of the net 8:32 into the second period to make the score 4-0 Cleveland and again while 15:29 into the third to make the score 6-4 Cleveland.The Jr. Lumberjacks kept Wisconsin's goalie busy throughout the game, and David Volkmann made 47 saves on 53 shots. Alex Buban also scored for Cleveland. In addition, Cleveland received assists from Eli Lynn, who had one, Jared Johnson, who had three, and Mike Palasics, Tyler Stockwell, and Nick Balavich, who each chipped in two. The Whalers forced Cleveland's goaltenders to work without much rest, getting 61 shots and forcing 58 saves. Joseph Moza made 39 stops and Tyler Jansen made 19. Wisconsin was led by Connor Hyde, who tallied one goal. Hyde scored 1:18 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Cleveland. Tim Tarvis assisted on the tally. Wisconsin additionally got points from Jason Hoehn, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Wisconsin also got a goal from Zack Johnson as well. More assists for Wisconsin came via Ryan Martin and Brett Gates, who contributed one a piece. The Jr. Lumberjacks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Whalers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
