Breezy Point rides Bergquist to victory over Minnesota, 3-1Breezy Point Ice Arena Sun, Oct 27, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Breezy Point North Stars relied on the sparkling performance of Joey Bergquist in net to grab a 3-1 win against the Minnesota Flying Aces. Minnesota's power play was ineffective against Breezy Point's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The North Stars were led by Austin Williams, who grabbed one goal. Williams scored 7:29 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Breezy Point. Nick Johnsen picked up the assist. Breezy Point excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. The North Stars kept the Flying Aces' goalie busy throughout the game, and Mike Stumpf made 35 saves on 38 shots. Breezy Point also got a goal from Crosby Steen as well. Other players who recorded assists for Breezy Point were Alex Schutte, Bo Borowski, Jon Plaszcz, Chris Hjorth, and Kyle Eberwein, who contributed one a piece. Minnesota was led by Blake Anderson, who scored the team's only goal. Anderson scored 18:59 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Minnesota.
