Topeka blows out :Chicago, 5-0Kansas ExpoCentre Sun, Oct 27, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Topeka Capitals were firing on all cylinders against :Chicago, and when the final buzzer sounded Capitals emerged with a 5-0 win. Topeka was led by Yu Kikosaka, who had one goal and one assist. Kikosaka scored on the power play 12:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Topeka. The Capitals had gained a power play chance when Justin Stein was whistled for high sticking. Nick Manney assisted on the tally. Topeka excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Capitals forced :Chicago goalie Michael Krch to work between the pipes, taking 52 shots. Topeka additionally got points from Tyler Brady, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Topeka also got a goal from Hardijis Kupaks as well. In addition, Topeka received assists from Nick White, who had one and Georgy Ostapchuk, who had two. Mike McElroy made 24 saves for Topeka on 24 shots. The Capitals incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Krch rejected 47 shots on goal for :Chicago. :Chicago ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. |
