Dallas downs Sugar Land, 5-2

Alex Cyrenne tallied one point to lead the Dallas Jr. Stars to a 5-2 victory over the Sugar Land Imperials.

Dallas kept Sugar Land's goalie busy throughout the game, and Colton Anderson made 33 saves on 38 shots.

Dallas also got points from Jake Gevaart, who also registered one goal and one assist and Colin South, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Dallas also got a goal from Keith Huspen as well. In addition, Dallas received assists from Ben Owen, who had two and Cam Choate, Chance Summers, Raurie Petrich, and Maxim Ledyankin, who contributed one a piece.

The Imperials did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Sugar Land puts an average of 4.8 pucks into the net per game. The Jr. Stars were unable to stop the Imperials from sending pucks towards the net, and Sugar Land eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

The Imperials were helped by Avik Bordak, who had one goal. Bordak scored on the power play 17:57 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Dallas. Sugar Land had taken the advantage when Dallas' Ledyankin got sent off for hooking. Alex Tilman assisted on the tally. Sugar Land additionally got points from Luke Simon, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Sugar Land came via Zachary Blohm and Prokofil Vladykosvoski, who each chipped in one.

Chris Mallon recorded 30 saves for the Jr. Stars. Dallas incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Imperials incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
