Childs nets hat trick, leads Twin City to 6-3 win over Breezy Point

A hat trick by Jace Childs was the highlight in Steel's 6-3 win against the Breezy Point North Stars.

Childs got on the scoresheet 17:09 into the second period. He then added goals at 1:09 into the third and at 10:18 into the third.

The Twin City Steel's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Breezy Point power plays. Breezy Point was unable to stop Twin City from sending pucks towards the net, and the Steel eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Twin City outdid its season average for goals scored. The Steel average 3.0 goals per game.

Twin City additionally got points from Jerod Sabaska, who also racked up one goal and three assists. Twin City also got a goal from Emil Blomqvist as well. More assists for Twin City came via Alexander Konnov, who had three and Isaac Hale and Garrett Nelson, who contributed one a piece.

The North Stars were helped by Chris Hjorth, who finished with one goal. Hjorth scored 3:33 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Kyle Whipple assisted on the tally. Scott Schroeder also scored for Breezy Point. In addition, Breezy Point received assists from Russel Barone, who had one.

Thomas Terrance recorded 24 saves for Twin City. The Steel incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Joey Bergquist made 26 saves for Breezy Point on 32 shots. The North Stars ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major.
