St. Louis pulls away in second, rolls over Chicago, 6-1

The Chicago Junior Bulldogs allowed the St. Louis Jr. Blues to net three goals during the second period and fell, 6-1.

Zane OBryan had a great game for St. Louis, netting two goals. OBryan's tallies came at 9:00 into the first period to make the score 2-0 St. Louis and 1:33 into the second to make the score 3-1 St. Louis.

Chicago was stymied by the Jr. Blues netminder Cooper Cothran, who stopped 32 shots during the victory. Cothran certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.02 entering the contest.

St. Louis' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Chicago power plays. The Jr. Blues kept the Junior Bulldogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Michael Krch made 54 saves on 60 shots.

St. Louis additionally got points from Kyle Meeh, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Tommy Heinzman, who also had one goal and two assists. St. Louis also got a goal from Alexander Carlsson as well. More assists for St. Louis came via Christian Argyros, who had two and Adam Roeder, Mike Lozano, and Jake Wynd, who each chipped in one.

Chicago did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Junior Bulldogs average 4.5 goals per game. Chicago forced St. Louis goalie Cothran to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. The Junior Bulldogs found themselves short handed often, totaling 34 penalty minutes and allowing eight power plays.

Chicago was led by Tyler Dalton, who scored the team's only goal. Dalton scored 10:10 into the first period to make the score 2-1 St. Louis. Justin Stein assisted on the tally.

The Jr. Blues incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
