Cleveland rides Moza to victory over Metro, 3-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Joseph Moza helped the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks defeat the Metro Jets, 3-1.

Cleveland was led by Alex Buban, who had one goal. Buban scored 15:58 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cleveland. Mike Palasics assisted on the tally.

The Jr. Lumberjacks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Metro power plays. Cleveland's offense rang up 31 shots on Metro's net.

Cleveland also got points from Palasics, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Jared Johnson also scored for Cleveland. Other players who recorded assists for Cleveland were Ben Lau and Nick Balavich, who contributed one a piece.

The Jets kept the Jr. Lumberjacks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Moza made 32 saves on 33 shots.

Metro was led by Matt Dempsey, who scored the team's only goal. Dempsey scored 12:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Metro. Brad Hepler picked up the assist.

Cleveland incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Jets' Trevor Kalinowski stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Metro incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
