Breezy Point falls to Wisconsin in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Jason Hoehn gave the Wisconsin Whalers a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Breezy Point North Stars when he scored 3:29 into the extra period.

Wisconsin was led by Hoehn, who registered one goal and one assist.

The Whalers racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and one major for 23 minutes in penalty time. Wisconsin surpassed its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. The Whalers' offense rang up 41 shots on Breezy Point's net.

Wisconsin also got points from Tim Tarvis, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Wisconsin also had goals scored by D.J. Mussey and Connor Morgan, who each put in one. In addition, Wisconsin received assists from Ryan Martin, Max Whitney, and Adam Alcott, who each chipped in one.

The North Stars were often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and one major for 41 minutes in penalty time. Breezy Point had been averaging 23.0 minutes in penalties per game. The North Stars kept Wisconsin's goalie busy throughout the game, and Michal Marcinek made 39 saves on 42 shots.

Breezy Point was helped by Jason Pischke, who grabbed one goal. Pischke scored 7:36 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Mitch Pierson assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Breezy Point included Crosby Steen and Austin Williams, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Breezy Point were Scott Schroeder, Chris Hjorth, and Kyle Eberwein, who contributed one a piece.

The Whalers registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Matt Memolo rejected 37 shots on goal for the North Stars. Breezy Point registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
