Breezy Point erases deficit to stun Minnesota, 4-2

The Breezy Point North Stars climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Minnesota Flying Aces, 4-2.

Breezy Point let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. The North Stars took a 3-2 advantage on a power play goal by Blake Neumann at 9:41 in the second period. Breezy Point went down 2-0 after Minnesota's Blair Seitz put the puck home short handed at 14:29 in the first period. After tying things up at 3-3 on a goal by Eric Rogorzenski at 15:13 in the second, the North Stars got the game-winner from Kyle Eberwein at 19:34 in the third period.

Crosby Steen had a great game for Breezy Point, netting two goals. Steen found the back of the net on the power play 17:00 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Minnesota and again while on the power play 5:54 into the second to make the score 2-2.

The North Stars forced the Flying Aces goalie Mike Stumpf to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Breezy Point additionally got points from Eberwein, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Breezy Point received assists from Billy Foy and Ludvig Adamsen, who contributed one a piece.

Minnesota was led by AJ Gullickson, who racked up one goal. Gullickson scored on the power play 12:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Minnesota. The Flying Aces earned a power play opportunity when Bo Borowski was put in the box for holding. Blake Anderson picked up the assist. Minnesota also got points from Seitz, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.

Breezy Point's Joey Bergquist stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The North Stars incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Mike Stumpf made 34 saves for Minnesota on 37 shots. The Flying Aces incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
