Metro survives Pittsburgh comeback, wins 3-2

The Pittsburgh Vengeance tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Metro Jets held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Kyle Downey put Metro up 3-1 in the third period, but Pittsburgh pulled to within one on Joseph Randazzo's tally 17:48 into the third period.

The Jets were sparked by Downey, who tallied one goal. Downey scored 6:49 into the third period to make the score Metro. Spenser Boman provided the assist.

Metro also got a goal from Cooper McLean as well. In addition, Metro received assists from Brad Hepler and Zach Mac Kay, who contributed one a piece.

The Vengeance kept Metro's goalie busy throughout the game, and Trevor Kalinowski made 46 saves on 48 shots.

Cody Black also scored for Pittsburgh. Other players who recorded assists for Pittsburgh were Thomas Leistner, Tom Diffendal, and Michael Straub, who each chipped in one.

The Jets totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Chase Stanford made 22 saves for Pittsburgh on 25 shots. The Vengeance incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
