Fresno Monsters rips Lake Tahoe Blue, 13-2

Fresno Monsters had a seven-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 13-2 win over Lake Tahoe Blue.

Fresno Monsters stifled Lake Tahoe Blue's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Fresno Monsters forced Lake Tahoe Blue goalie Troy Turpin to work between the pipes, taking 83 shots. Fresno Monsters found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Fresno Monsters averages 5.2 goals per game.

Fresno Monsters was led by Filip Winkler, who registered one goal and five assists. Winkler scored 5:04 into the third period to make the score 8-1 Fresno Monsters. Evan Ingram picked up the assist. Fresno Monsters additionally got points from Mike Fabie, who also finished with one goal and three assists, Mike Nolan, who also had one goal and two assists, Jacob Haynes, who also racked up two goals and one assist, Ingram, who also tallied two goals and three assists, Jordan Fontaine, who also registered one goal and one assist, Kyle Jelenski, who also had two goals and one assist, and Conner Osborne, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Fresno Monsters also had goals scored by Gunnar Dircks and Carter Dahl, who each put in one. More assists for Fresno Monsters came via Dan Fitzgerald and Nico Wilton, who contributed one a piece and Corey Sikich and Anthony Pena, who each chipped in two.

Jerry Kaukinen made 23 saves for Fresno Monsters on 25 shots. Fresno Monsters incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Turpin recorded 70 saves for Lake Tahoe Blue. Lake Tahoe Blue incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
