Huge game by Henson boosts Dallas Ice Jets over Tulsa Jr. Oilers, 5-1

Dallas Ice Jets' Johnny Henson had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 5-1 win over Tulsa Jr. Oilers.

Henson beat Teke Murphy with a shot 1:50 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Dallas Ice Jets. Chris Schutz assisted on the tally. Henson dished an assist on Schutz's goal that made the score 1-0 Dallas Ice Jets at 7:35 into the first period. He then added assists on Schutz's goal at 2:24 into the third and on Matthew Heim's goal at 6:15 into the third.

Dallas Ice Jets' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Tulsa Jr. Oilers power plays. Dallas Ice Jets forced Tulsa Jr. Oilers goalie Murphy to work between the pipes, taking 61 shots.

Dallas Ice Jets also got points from Schutz, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. James Bohan also scored for Dallas Ice Jets. Other players who recorded assists for Dallas Ice Jets were Alex Smith, Yannick Aube, Byron Carlisle, Alex Criswell, and Hunter Lagrone, who contributed one a piece.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers was led by Sawyer Dixon, who scored the team's only goal. Dixon scored 10:59 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Dallas Ice Jets. Austin Van Amen provided the assist.

Tyler Hough made 14 saves for Dallas Ice Jets on 15 shots. Dallas Ice Jets incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Murphy recorded 56 saves for Tulsa Jr. Oilers. Tulsa Jr. Oilers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
