Peplinski nets hat trick, leads Ogden Mustangs to 5-2 win over Idaho Junior Steelheads

Jimmy Peplinski lifted Ogden Mustangs to a 5-2 victory with a hat trick against Idaho Junior Steelheads.

Peplinski notched his first tally 51 seconds into the third period. He then added goals at 10:14 into the third and at 14:13 into the third.

Ogden Mustangs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Ogden Mustangs also had goals scored by Tommy Pokorney and Simon Teodorsson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Ogden Mustangs were Brody Decker, who had two, David Clements, who had three, and Mike Kowicki, Craig Moore, and Martin Hallin, who each chipped in one.

Idaho Junior Steelheads stifled Ogden Mustangs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Idaho Junior Steelheads did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season.
