Phoenix Knights pulls away in second, rolls over New Mexico Renegades, 9-1

Phoenix Knights used a four-goal second period to put away New Mexico Renegades, 9-1.

Phoenix Knights got the win behind a great game by Kelby Minshull, who had one goal and two assists. Minshull scored on the power play 19:00 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Phoenix Knights. Phoenix Knights had taken the advantage when New Mexico Renegades' AJ Mussfeldt got sent off for hooking. Ryan McNeely assisted on the tally.

New Mexico Renegades was unable to stop Phoenix Knights from sending pucks towards the net, and Phoenix Knights eventually piled up 62 shots on goal. Phoenix Knights bested its season scoring average. This season, Phoenix Knights averages 5.4 goals per contest. The defensemen of Phoenix Knights were also effective in New Mexico Renegades' zone, and came away with three goals.
