Early goals doom San Diego Gulls, falls to Long Beach Bombers, 8-1

A six-goal first period deficit cost San Diego Gulls, which could not recover and fell to Long Beach Bombers, 8-1.

Long Beach Bombers got the win thanks to a great game by Blake Sundy, who had two goals and one assist. Sundy scored the first of his two goals at 8:02 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Long Beach Bombers. Xavier Boissel-Dombreval picked up the assist. Sundy's next tally made the score 3-0 Long Beach Bombers with 8:20 left in the first period. Johan Beatty assisted on the tally.
