McMullen lifts xSalt Lake City Moose over Lake Tahoe Blue, 7-4

Behind a great game by Jacob McMullen, who had two goals, xSalt Lake City Moose defeated Lake Tahoe Blue, 7-4.

McMullen scored at 6:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 xSalt Lake City Moose and again while 13:53 into the second to make the score 3-1 xSalt Lake City Moose.

xSalt Lake City Moose pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

Lake Tahoe Blue was unable to stop xSalt Lake City Moose from sending pucks towards the net, and xSalt Lake City Moose eventually piled up 44 shots on goal.

xSalt Lake City Moose additionally got points from Pat Dwyer, who also grabbed two goals and one assist and Jurijs Moiseicenko, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. xSalt Lake City Moose also had goals scored by Dan Veselovsky and Daniel Coley, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for xSalt Lake City Moose were David Barnes, who had two and Martin Tolkner, Viktors Ponatovskis, Tommy Breitfuss, Cody Rogala, Tyler Keturi, Nick Luitgaarden, Adam Kresl, and Dylan Canoy, who each chipped in one.

Lake Tahoe Blue's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five xSalt Lake City Moose power plays. Lake Tahoe Blue forced xSalt Lake City Moose goalie Brad Robertson to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Lake Tahoe Blue was helped by Mark DeVaughn, who registered one goal and two assists. DeVaughn scored short handed 3:40 into the third period to make the score 5-3 xSalt Lake City Moose. A hooking call on Matt Broman put Lake Tahoe Blue on the penalty kill. Branislav Kost assisted on the tally. Lake Tahoe Blue also got points from Kost, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Lake Tahoe Blue also got a goal from Evan Brown as well. In addition, Lake Tahoe Blue received assists from David Brancik, Robert Donovan, and Taylor McConnell, who contributed one a piece.

Brad Robertson made 31 saves for xSalt Lake City Moose on 35 shots. Lake Tahoe Blue's Frankie Mcclendon stopped 37 shots out of the 43 that he faced. Lake Tahoe Blue incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
