xIdaho Junior Steelheads survived a determined comeback attempt by xOgden Mustangs on the way to a 3-1 win.

A goal by Jan Blasko put xIdaho Junior Steelheads up 3-0 in the second period, but xOgden Mustangs pulled to within two on Jon Mencer's tally 19:19 into the third period.

xOgden Mustangs was stymied by xIdaho Junior Steelheads netminder Sean Healy, who stopped 26 shots during the victory. Healy certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.78 entering the contest.

xIdaho Junior Steelheads kept xOgden Mustangs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Fallica made 30 saves on 33 shots.

xIdaho Junior Steelheads was helped by Bryan Hodges, who registered one goal. Hodges scored short handed 5:07 into the second period to make the score 2-0 xIdaho Junior Steelheads. xIdaho Junior Steelheads found itself down a man on Jesper Jensen's interference. Blasko picked up the assist. xIdaho Junior Steelheads also got points from Blasko, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. xIdaho Junior Steelheads also got a goal from Ben Hull as well. More assists for xIdaho Junior Steelheads came via Oskar Af Bjur, Dak Dice, and Victor Carlsson, who each chipped in one.

xOgden Mustangs stifled xIdaho Junior Steelheads' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. xOgden Mustangs did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. xOgden Mustangs averages 5.5 goals per game.

In addition, xOgden Mustangs received assists from Jimmy Peplinski and Schuyler Seyfert, who contributed one a piece.
