xValencia Flyers survived a determined comeback attempt by San Diego Gulls on the way to a 4-3 win.

xValencia Flyers took a 4-2 lead during the third period, only to have San Diego Gulls storm back on a Nick Strohmeyer goal 10:10 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

xValencia Flyers got the win behind a great game by Blake Aguilar, who had two goals and one assist. Aguilar scored the first of his two goals at 5:27 into the second period to make the score 2-1 xValencia Flyers. Niklas Giers picked up the assist. Aguilar's next tally made the score xValencia Flyers with 11:18 left in the third period. Wil Barnett provided the assist.

San Diego Gulls was unable to stop xValencia Flyers from sending pucks towards the net, and xValencia Flyers eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. xValencia Flyers took advantage of San Diego Gulls' penalties, tallying two goals off of three power play opportunities.
