xCheyenne Stampede blows out New Mexico Renegades, 8-0

xCheyenne Stampede had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-0 win over New Mexico Renegades.

Russell Armbruster was all over the ice for xCheyenne Stampede, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Armbruster scored 40 seconds into the third period to make the score 6-0 xCheyenne Stampede. Jimmie Kotilainen assisted on the tally.

xCheyenne Stampede stifled New Mexico Renegades' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. New Mexico Renegades was unable to stop xCheyenne Stampede from sending pucks towards the net, and xCheyenne Stampede eventually piled up 58 shots on goal. xCheyenne Stampede's goal total was higher than its season average. xCheyenne Stampede has scored at the pace of 4.7 goals per game during the current campaign.

xCheyenne Stampede also got points from Heath Lantz, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Ian Teal, who also finished with one goal and three assists, Collin Plitt, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Kotilainen, who also registered one goal and one assist. xCheyenne Stampede also had goals scored by Patrik Kramarik, Branko Oktavec, and Thayne Trumbull, who each put in one. More assists for xCheyenne Stampede came via Laim Slyne and Patrik Undin, who each chipped in one and Filip Oravec and Ryan Plessinger, who contributed two a piece.

xCheyenne Stampede's defense shut down New Mexico Renegades' forwards for much of the game, and New Mexico Renegades got off only 11 shots during the contest.

Rasmus Hansson recorded 11 saves for xCheyenne Stampede. xCheyenne Stampede incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Austin Borchert made 50 saves for New Mexico Renegades on 58 shots.
