xPhoenix Knights tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Long Beach Bombers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4. Long Beach Bombers took a 5-3 lead during the third period, only to have xPhoenix Knights storm back on a Jordan Cullum goal 20:00 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Tomas Nemeth had two goals and two assists to lead Long Beach Bombers. Nemeth scored the first of his two goals at 3:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Long Beach Bombers. Martin Vachal picked up the assist. Nemeth's next tally made the score 4-3 Long Beach Bombers with 5:36 left in the third period. Vachal assisted on the tally. Long Beach Bombers forced xPhoenix Knights goalie Alex Taylor to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots. Long Beach Bombers also got points from Vachal, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Filip Martinec, who also racked up one goal and two assists.
