xOgden Mustangs rolls over Southern Oregon Spartans, 6-2

xOgden Mustangs had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over Southern Oregon Spartans.

xOgden Mustangs got the win thanks to a great game by Dusty Watt, who had two goals and two assists. Watt scored the first of his two goals at 6:33 into the first period to make the score 2-0 xOgden Mustangs. Sean Haltam assisted on the tally. Watt's next tally made the score 5-1 xOgden Mustangs with 5:56 left in the second period. Haltam picked up the assist.

xOgden Mustangs pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 35 penalty minutes.

xOgden Mustangs made Southern Oregon Spartans' netminders to work without much rest, taking 37 shots and forcing 31 saves. Marco Medina Jr. made 13 stops and Jiri Ponikelsky made 18. xOgden Mustangs stifled Southern Oregon Spartans' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

xOgden Mustangs additionally got points from Tyler Underwood, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Martin Hallin, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. xOgden Mustangs also had goals scored by Craig Moore and Carson Duggar, who each put in one. More assists for xOgden Mustangs came via George Babos, who had two.

Southern Oregon Spartans forced xOgden Mustangs goalie Tyler Fallica to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Southern Oregon Spartans was led by Jason Henry, who tallied one goal. Henry scored 12:49 into the first period to make the score 2-1 xOgden Mustangs. Southern Oregon Spartans also got a goal from Cy Jenson as well. In addition, Southern Oregon Spartans received assists from Ben Henry and Tyler Spencer, who each chipped in one.

Tyler Fallica made 36 saves for xOgden Mustangs on 38 shots. xOgden Mustangs registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Southern Oregon Spartans incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
