Huge game by Nemeth boosts Long Beach Bombers over San Diego Gulls, 6-3

Behind a great game by Tomas Nemeth, who had one goal and two assists, Long Beach Bombers defeated San Diego Gulls, 6-3.

Nemeth got on the board by slotting home a goal 8:30 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Long Beach Bombers. Martin Vachal picked up the assist. Nemeth dished an assist on Filip Martinec's goal that made the score 5-2 Long Beach Bombers at 11:27 into the third period. He added another helper on Vachal's goal that made the score 6-2 Long Beach Bombers at 15:45 into the third period.

Long Beach Bombers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five San Diego Gulls power plays.

Long Beach Bombers also got points from Marcus Viitanen, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Vachal, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Martinec, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Long Beach Bombers included Johan Beatty and Valeriy Ledovskiy, who scored one goal each. In addition, Long Beach Bombers received assists from Mikyal Anas, Konstantin Kotkov, and Daniel Skoglund, who each chipped in one and Tyler Forest and Mikael Lengmo, who contributed two a piece.

San Diego Gulls was helped by Linus Kleeman, who registered one goal. Kleeman scored 2:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 San Diego Gulls. Michael Leone assisted on the tally. Kyle Rimbach also scored for San Diego Gulls. More assists for San Diego Gulls came via Austin Millard, who had one and Ilya Sakhibgareev, who had two.

Talon Miller recorded 20 saves for Long Beach Bombers. Long Beach Bombers totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Brody Cavataio made 19 saves for San Diego Gulls on 25 shots. San Diego Gulls ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major.
