xIdaho Junior Steelheads had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over Seattle Totems.

Dak Dice had two goals to lead xIdaho Junior Steelheads to victory. Dice scored at 3:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 xIdaho Junior Steelheads and again while on the power play 9:10 into the first to make the score 3-0 xIdaho Junior Steelheads.

Seattle Totems was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as xIdaho Junior Steelheads was able to score four times while on the power play.

xIdaho Junior Steelheads was often in penalty trouble, totaling 11 minors and two majors for 92 minutes in penalty time. xIdaho Junior Steelheads surpassed its season average of 28.0 penalty minutes per game. xIdaho Junior Steelheads put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Seattle Totems to score on any of its nine power plays. xIdaho Junior Steelheads' offense rang up 63 shots on Seattle Totems' net.

Seattle Totems racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and two majors for 42 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 23.0 minutes per game Seattle Totems had been spending in the box.

Seattle Totems was led by Frank Flight, who racked up two goals. Flight scored the first of his two goals at 54 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-1 xIdaho Junior Steelheads. Robin Bjoernstad assisted on the tally. Flight's next tally made the score 5-2 xIdaho Junior Steelheads with 8:48 left in the third period. Matous Jelinek provided the assist.

Sean Healy recorded 26 saves for xIdaho Junior Steelheads. Team's Dice and Jensen were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Bryce Fink made 57 saves for Seattle Totems on 63 shots. For Seattle Totems, Doug Stultz and Braden Stratton were ejected from the contest.
