Ogden Mustangs tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Fresno Monsters would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. A goal by Carter Dahl put Fresno Monsters up 3-0 in the first period, but Ogden Mustangs pulled to within one on Martin Hallin's tally 10:52 into the third period. Fresno Monsters forced Ogden Mustangs' netminders to work between the pipes, launching 36 shots and forcing 33 saves. Connor Webb made 10 stops and Tyler Fallica made 23. Fresno Monsters stifled Ogden Mustangs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Fresno Monsters was helped by Jacob Haynes, who registered one goal.
